Executive Director

Heritage Acres Farm Museum (HAFM) is where history comes alive. Our non-profit museum is dedicated to protecting and preserving the agricultural past of southern Alberta. Located in the Municipal District of Pincher Creek, HAFM is open to the public from May long weekend until September 15. Active and busy off-season for staff and volunteers.

We are seeking a talented, self-motivated, and highly organized individual to join our team.

As the Executive Director, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the museum, reporting to a board of directors. You will lead, supervise, and collaborate with a small team consisting of event planner, curator, seasonal staff.

Qualifications: 

  • Financial management and business skills 
  • Proficient computer skills 
  • Museum operations and not-for-profit societies experience an asset 
  • Good leadership, supervisory and delegation skills 
  • Tourism growth experience an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Critical thinking, multitasking and problem-solving 
  • Good relations with volunteers and the public 
  • Community involvement
